Statement of Purpose
The purpose of this portfolio is twofold. First, I wanted to establish and closely examine my teaching goals. Second, this portfolio serves as an introduction to how I teach for potential employers, documenting significant teaching experiences, accomplishments, and growth as a teacher.
As I have gained teaching experience, this portfolio has given me the opportunity to reflect on various methods and decisions. I have included examples of some of these different approaches within the portfolio and discuss their successes or shortcomings and how I plan to address these in the future. In regards to this portfolio as an introduction to how I teach, I have provided an outline of my goals, professional development, teaching methods I have employed, and feedback from colleagues and students. With this information, you will have an understanding of the teacher I am and the teacher I am continuously striving to be.
